Grüezi! Welcome! Lots of things go on at Whitetail Valley each day, but three activities fill the majority of our life here at the farm.

Whitetail Valley Cellars Winery

We are a different sort of winery! We specialize in fruit wine, primarily Apfel Wein from our apples! Our carefully crafted small batches of Apfel Wein are made with old world standards which our Swiss ancestors would approve and designed for modern tastes which you will love. Our winery, Keterei-Kutzli, is under construction including our Swiss tasting room called "Das Stübli". We invite you to join with us and "Taste an Iowa Summer in Every Glass!"™ 

 

Whitetail Valley Orchards

We grow apples in a traditional Swiss German style of fruit growing called a Streuobstwiese, a Meadow Orchard. Our low intensity method sustains the land, producing fruit with minimal chemical inputs.  This fruit is better for you, better for the planet and better tasting too! We are growing over 60 varieties of modern and vintage fruit trees. 

 

Grampaw's Punkin Patch

We started planting pumpkins for the grandkids back in 2015 and the idea took off. We began Grampaw's Punkin Patch to market pumpkins, fall melons, squash and gourds. There is nothing scary or gory at Grampaw's. We are safe for the little ones with lots of Autumn harvest beauty for the older ones! Bring your kids! Bring your grandkids! Grampaw would love to see you.

 

Come and Visit

We love to share our farm with visitors. Whitetail Valley Farm is a working family farm. We don't have a lot of "staff". There are times we may not be near the phone or at the keyboard.
